The reason for the season

Tis the season for giving and celebration… but where did the season begin? It actually began from a story of redemption. While Jesus wasn’t actually born on December 25th, the season does stem from the story of his miraculous birth. Jesus was born to fulfill the promise of our salvation. Salvation from a sin ravaged world, salvation from suffering, salvation from pain, salvation from loss, salvation from it all…

And salvation to what you ask? Joy, freedom, eternal life and reconnection with God. Salvation to a renewed relationship with the one who made us. How awesome is that?! We get to reclaim the life He wanted for us in the first place. A life of peace, contentment…
